Santiago-RD. El personal del Servicio Regional de Salud Norcentral realizó una jornada de reforestación en la avenida Circunvalación Norte, de esta provincia, con el objetivo de contribuir a la preservación del medio ambiente.
El director del Servicio Regional de Salud Norcentral, doctor Manuel Lora Perelló puntualizó la importancia de la jornada al destacar que preservar el medio ambiente es preservar el agua. “El agua es vida, es salud, sin agua nosotros como seres humanos no podemos vivir”, agregó.
La jornada de plantación de árboles se realizó gracias al acompañamiento de la dirección provincial del Ministerio de Medio Ambiente, que dirige el licenciado Jorge Ruiz.
Lora Perelló, externó agradecimiento al Ministerio de Medio Ambiente y al encargado de Educación Ambiental, señor Julio Cortorreal Leyba, quien en representación de esa institución dio asistencia en la colaboración y entrega de las herramientas necesarias para hacer posible la siembra de árboles.
Al inicio de la actividad, Cortorreal Leyva orientó a los colaboradores sobre las técnicas adecuadas para realizar una correcta siembra de los árboles.
La jornada a favor del medio ambiente incluyó recogida de desechos plásticos para aportar a la descontaminación del área y preservación de los recursos naturales.
Plantar nuevos árboles puede ayudar a reducir la concentración de CO2 en la atmósfera, además de proteger especies, proporciona salud de los bosques y resiliencia, Calidad del aire, además de dejar fuente de semilla para el futuro.
